The WMF Office IT group was created to allow members of the Wikimedia Foundation Office IT team to create and globally rename or lock Wikimedia Foundation Staff accounts, centrally logged on Meta-Wiki.
Rights
Membership in this user group grants the following user rights (see User group rights):
- Have one's own edits automatically marked as patrolled
(autopatrol) - Lock or unlock global account
(centralauth-lock) - Rename global accounts
(centralauth-rename) - Create new user accounts
(createaccount) - Not be affected by rate limits
(noratelimit) - Enable two-factor authentication
(oathauth-enable) - Override the disallowed titles or usernames list
(tboverride)
