International Paper Company (Melayu: Syarikat Kertas Antarabangsa: NYSE: IP) ialah syarikat pulpa dan kertas Amerika, syarikat terbesar di dunia[2]. Ia mempunyai kira-kira 55,000 pekerja, dan beribu pejabat di Memphis, Tennessee.[3][4]
Sejarah
[sunting | sunting sumber]Syarikat itu diperbadankan pada 31 Januari 1898, apabila penggabungan 17 kilang pulpa dan kertas di timur laut Amerika Syarikat.[5][6] Pengasasnya dan dua presiden pertama adalah William Augustus Russell, yang meninggal dunia pada Januari 1899, dan Hugh J. Chisholm. Syarikat yang baru terbentuk membekalkan 60 peratus daripada semua kertas cetak di negara ini.[7][8][9][10]
