Logistik tentera adalah perancangan bertertib yang menjalankan pergerakan dan penyelenggaraan pasukan tentera. Dalam erti kata yang paling komprehensif, ia adalah aspek atau operasi ketenteraan yang berurusan dengan:[1]
- Rekabentuk, pembangunan, pemerolehan, penyimpanan, pengedaran, penyelenggaraan, pemindahan, dan pelupusan materiel.
- Pengangkutan anggota.
- Pengambilalihan atau pembinaan, penyelenggaraan, operasi, dan pelupusan fasiliti.
- Pengambilalihan atau pemberian perkhidmatan.
- Sokongan perkhidmatan perubatan dan kesihatan.
