The 2026 Kings World Cup Nations was an international seven-a-side football tournament based on the Kings League format created by Gerard Piqué and Ibai Llanos. Unlike the Kings World Cup launched in 2024 , which is a club competition, this tournament saw players from the different versions of the Kings League forming teams to represent their respective nations, similar to the FIFA World Cup.
About
The Kings World Cup Nations 2026 is the upcoming second edition of the Kings World Cup Nations, an international tournament between representative national teams consisting of players within the numerous Kings Leagues. The tournament was announced to be held in Brazil during the Kings World Cup Clubs 2025 on June 11, 2025.[1] Alongside the hosts Team Brazil Team Brazil, Team Germany Team Germany announced their participation on July 16, 2025.[2] A full list of participating nations, as well as the official draw for the tournament, occured during the Kickoff Day event on October 11.[3]
This year's tournament expands the Nations field to 20 national teams, including 7 new participating countries to the tournament. Of the 2025 field, Team South Korea Team South Korea, Team Turkey Team Turkey and Team Uzbekistan Team Uzbekistan did not return. Team Belgium Team Belgium were supposed to be one of the debutants, but they were replaced by Team Algeria Team Algeria, also debuting, a month before the tournament began.[4] Each nation has one or two individuals (including KL Presidents) assigned to them as "captains", with hosts Brazil sending all Presidents involved in Kings Cup Brazil. Ronaldo Nazário is the President of this year's Kings World Cup Clubs.[5]
The Final of the tournament will be held at Allianz Parque in São Paulo, home of SE Palmeiras. The venue had hosted Kings League Brazil's Split 1 Final.[6] While not yet confirmed, it is expected that the main venue for Kings League Brazil in São Paulo, known for sponsorship purposes as the Trident Arena, will host all other games

Background
Before the start of the 2024-2025 season, in an introductory video for the campaign uploaded on 7 September 2024. A second international tournament, the Kings World Cup Nations was announced, this time with players forming national teams to represent their countries.[1] During the launch event for the Kings League Italy on 18 November 2024, it was confirmed that Italy would be hosting the tournament, held from 1 to 12 January 2025, with the finals taking place in Turin's Juventus Stadium.[2]
